Lee Vaughan says that spirits are high in the Tranmere Rovers dressing room after the opening two fixtures of the season.
Rovers have picked up two 2-0 victories against Bromley and Barrow to start the new campaign and the full-back says that the squad is happy with how it has gone so far.
He told Tranmere Player HD: “It has been a great start for us performance wise and results wise so far. I don’t think we could have asked for any more.
“I feel that we’re stronger this season having most of the squad played together last season. We’re a tight knit group and a small squad but every player we have you can see as a first team player.
“There’s a bounce in everyone at the moment and we’ll try to do the same again on Saturday. Having said that, we’re still nit picking and looking at things we can improve on.”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s home game against Eastleigh, Vaughan says that they can’t wait to get back out on the pitch again.
He added: “When you’re winning games of football, you want to play every day. We can’t wait for the next game and build some more momentum.
“I think Eastleigh will be well organised and they’ll be in and around the promotion places.”
