John Askey felt that Macclesfield Town deserved to pick up all three points after a last-gasp winner against Solihull Moors.
Ollie Norburn scored an injury time winner after Kingsley James scored either side of half-time from the penalty spot.
Macc had to come from behind on two occasions after Solihull took the lead on 22 minutes and then again in added on time during the first half.
Speaking of his sides second half performance, Askey said: “I thought we deserved to win it on the second half performance, I’m disappointed with the goals we conceded but I’m really pleased with getting the win which we needed to get us going again.”
The Silkmen are back to winning ways after suffering two defeats on the bounce against Sutton United and Lincoln City.
Askey admitted that the win has given the players a confidence boost especially given that they were behind twice:
“It gives everyone a lift and it was just what we needed after Saturday, we’re looking forward to the next game after everyone’s confidence is back.
“It’s important that sometimes you have to come from behind and know that you can, it gives the players belief to know that we have enough to get back into the game,” added Askey.
The Silkmen are back in action on Saturday as Woking visit the Moss Rose.
