Hereford FC head coach Marc Richards said that he hopes to bring experienced players into his side ahead of next weekend’s game against FC United of Manchester, the Hereford Times say.

His side saw Darlington deny them a vital three points as they remain without a league win since the middle of August.

Richards said: “I’m hoping we will be able to bring in some reinforcements in terms of adding quality to the squad as we’re not good enough at the moment, simple as that.

“We need to get better players in and a better squad together to be competing week in week out. We are hoping to bring a couple of bodies in for next Saturday.

“You saw that today that lack of experience we have got out there. We need that experience, we need men. We need that sort of physicality to deal with the oppositions that we have got.”

Tom Owen-Evans scored in each half for Hereford as they looked on course for a vital win, but Richards was disappointed with the mistakes which allowed Darlington to equalise and almost win the tie.
