Wealdstone chairman Rory Fitzgerald has said the club did look into moving their game with Torquay United back 24 hours.

As with AFC Telford United ahead of their fixture with Hereford, the Stones were hoping that pushing it back to 2nd December would allow fans to attend.

Fitzgerald said as part of an update to supporters:

“We have explored the possibility of moving our home game versus Torquay United by 24 hours to allow some spectators to attend. However, this wasn’t possible, and the game is to go ahead on Tuesday 1 December as scheduled.”

Wealdstone have made an impressive start to life in the National League this season, following promotion earlier this year.

Dean Brennan’s side currently sit 4th, with 17 points from ten games.
