Welling United have signed former Coggeshall Town striker Nnamdi Nwachuku,

Nwachuku came through youth ranks at both Reading and Colchester before embarking on a four-year spell with Coggeshall, being part of the side which won the 2018/19 Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League.

He scored 101 goals in his first 100 appearances for the SeedGrowers, including 44 in just 34 appearances during the 16/17 campaign.

On signing for the Wings, he said: “I am filled with excitement and cannot wait to get started on this new chapter in my football career with Welling United, a club with so much potential, passion and a real hunger to achieve great things. I feel like the football club will provide me with the platform to go and express myself with the great players they have, players I have only heard great things about and seen clips that back up what great players they are.

“I cannot wait to get into the side and push on.”
