Wes Fonguck has agreed to re-join Barnet on a new two-year contract.
The 22-year-old featured regularly for the Bees last season, scoring nine goals from midfield. He spent most of the summer considering a possible future in Scandinavia, after a couple of clubs made transfer offers, and he subsequently missed the beginning of this season.
However, he has since decided on a return to The Hive.
Chairman Tony Kleanthous said: “Wes’s agent and I were able to quickly secure an amicable arrangement for his return and it’s great to have Wes back in the squad. He has the potential to become a top-class player and we are pleased he has chosen us to continue with his development.”
Bees boss Darren Currie said: “As an ex-footballer, I am delighted to have him back as I think he has huge talent. Hopefully, he will develop further and play a big part in taking the club forward.”
