Horsham have announced the return of former assistant manager Adam Westwood.

It was confirmed back in April of this year that Westwood would be departing but he is back to work alongside manager Dominic Di Paola.

Ross Standen left his role as assistant at the club last week to become the new manager at Whitehawk.

Westwood told the club’s website: “I needed to get away from things. I never left to take another job in football, in fact, I didn’t even dip my toe in anything like that, to be honest.

“It was a tough decision to step away, because Dom and I had been together for 11 years, but we’d had a lot of games in a short space of time and I just felt I needed a break, because things were getting a bit on top of us all.”
