Manager Brian Stock has elaborated on the return to their parent clubs of three Weymouth loanees, the Dorset Echo say.

Stock brought in goalkeeper Jack Bycroft from Southampton, centre-half Corey Jordan from Bournemouth and winger Zaid Al-Hussaini from Crawley.

While all three impressed at various stages of their loan spells, Stock elected not to renew terms on Bycroft and Al-Hussaini – the former replaced by new loanee Ethan Ross from Lincoln.

Stock also revealed that Jordan himself made the decision not to extend his stay with the Terras.

Speaking following the 3-0 loss to rivals Yeovil Town, Stock said: “Jack was a big decision.

“We decided to send Jack back to Southampton with our best wishes. He’s a fantastic kid and I think he’s got a bright future.

“I felt it was getting to the stage where maybe a little bit of confidence (was missing) and we needed experience, so we brought in Ethan who’s had that exposure in the Football League.”
