Weymouth’s Brandon Goodship lauded Harry Baker’s impact as he provided an assist and scored a late goal in the 3-2 win away at Kings Langley in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.
Baker came on in the 84th minute last Saturday and within 60 seconds had provided Goodship with an assist for his 37th goal of the season, before Baker added his 19th of the season in the second minute of injury time.
Goodship said: “That is what Bakes does, he is such a valuable member of the team and his goalscoring record for us this season has been unbelievable. The effect he has when he comes on is second to none and he did that again on Saturday so credit to him for producing the goods again.”
It capped a frantic end to a match which saw four goals, two for each side, in the last 16 minutes of the match.
Goodship said: “It was a tight game throughout and then obviously we got the two-goal advantage at the end and then we sort of made it difficult for ourselves and it ended up being a lot closer than we would have liked.”
