Weymouth have confirmed that the club have been ‘placed into full isolation until 16th November under a High Alert category.’

It follows ‘a high number of Covid-19 positive tests’ at the National League club, whose league fixture against Wrexham next Saturday (14th November) is postponed.

The club add: “As a consequence, (Weymouth’s previous opponents) Stockport County and (Stockport’s most recent opponents) Chesterfield have been fully advised, and in line with league policy, each has been advised to raise their Covid Alert level as deemed appropriate.

“The league’s policy is always driven by medical advice and will continue to be our highest priority in every circumstance involving a Covid-19 event.”
