Vanarama National League club Maidstone United have parted company with Harry Wheeler by mutual consent.

The decision comes after Boxing Day’s 3-1 defeat by Kent rivals Dover Athletic, which made it five consecutive league defeats.

The former Billericay Town, St Albans City and Welling United man, took over at Stones boss only in September.

Wheeler became the youngest person to gain the UEFA A-Licence at the age of 23.

He becomes the second manager in the National League to lose his job over the festive period, with Chesterfield parting company with Martin Allen earlier this week.
