Salisbury chairman David Phillips has thanked Ian Ridley for his work with the club, after it was revealed that the sports writer would be stepping back from his role at the club.
In a statement on the club’s website Phillips said “I would like to thank Ian publicly for all his work, on behalf of the new Salisbury FC.
He has also helped me, personally, through his experience of the world of the non-league game and I am very grateful to him for sharing his considerable knowledge in this area.
As he has indicated he has found it increasingly difficult, due to personal circumstances, to give the club the time and commitment he would like. Infact, Ian ‘stepped back’ about a month ago and his main areas of day-to-day involvement, the website and social media, have been handled by others within the club.
I am pleased to say that Ian has made himself available to the Board as and when we need him.
I wish Ian and his wife Vikki all the very best for the future.
Chairman, Salisbury FC”
