Ben Tollitt would like to extend his spell at Wrexham and hopes a first start for the Reds is on the horizon, The Leader say.

The winger’s short term loan deal from Tranmere Rovers comes to an end this week but he trained with the Wrexham squad yesterday.

Since arriving from League Two Tranmere, Tollitt has made six substitute appearances but he hopes to make the starting XI at Fylde on Saturday if he remains at The Racecourse.

“I am just doing what I can to prove myself and hopefully I do get a start,” said Tollitt.

“But whatever way round the gaffer picks it, I have just got to get on there and do what I can when I get the game-time.

“My loan is up before the Fylde game so hopefully they can sort something out if they want me to stay, but that is not down to me.”
