Widnes have confirmed the double signing of Alex McQuade and Ryan Jennings.
McQuade, a central defender, and Jennings, a winger, both join from BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division side Buxton, and made their full debuts in Saturday’s clash with Mossley.
27-year-old McQuade began his career at Bolton Wanderers before moving to Shrewsbury Town, where he made his senior debut in a League One clash with MK Dons in August 2013.
He has since had spells at Guiseley, Hyde United, Warrington Town and Farsley Celtic before moving to Ossett Albion in December 2017.
McQuade then signed with the amalgamated Ossett United for the following season, where he was named Player of the Season before joining Buxton in the summer.
