Attacking player Manny Williams put pen to paper to join Hampton and Richmond Borough ahead of the new season.

Williams, who was with Basingstoke Town last season, signed registration papers before training on Thursday night and will be in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Bishop’s Stortford.

He had also played for Hayes & Yeading, Woking, Havant & Waterlooville and Maidenhead Utd in his career.

He began that career at Notts County and then Millwall, and also represented England Schools in his younger years.

Speaking after the signing, chairman Steve McPherson was pleased to see Manny commit to the club for the next season.

“Manny is a goal scorer as well as a wide player and that’s what you need. You always need goal scorers.”
