Nuneaton Town manager Kevin Wilson had added to his defensive options with the signing of 19-year-old Connor Anderson.
The 6’5 central defender featured in the pre-season friendly against Northampton Town and has been training with the squad during the summer. Wilson said; “Connor is a tall, strong lad and we expect him to do well for us.
“He has to play catch up to a certain extent as he’s been away from the club during the past week or so.
“He’s a lad I wanted to sign and I’m pleased to eventually get the deal done. His arrival adds even more competition for places.”
Anderson, who has played for Northern Ireland at U19 level, was released by Leicester City at the end of the 2015-16 season. He featured in a behind closed doors game at Liberty Way last year and has quickly found himself at home at the Boro. He said; “This is a good move for me at this stage in my career.
“I want to push for a place in the starting line up and play men’s football. I think I have a lot to offer and I’ve enjoyed the training and being around the lads.”
