Danny Holmes said both he and the Wimborne Town board were taking his tenure in charge “month by month”.
The former Middlesbrough and Aldershot midfielder took charge of Magpies in early September after brother Matty moved to a new role as the club’s community and academy director of football.
Danny Holmes has since led the first team to victories over Poole Town and Beaconsfield, as well as a draw and defeat to Truro City.
A statement from the club earlier this month said Danny Holmes would manage the side “until such time as a new manager is appointed”.
He is set to once again be in the dugout for Saturday’s home Southern League South clash with Weston-super-Mare (3pm).
Giving an update on his managerial situation, Danny Holmes told the Daily Echo: “I have spoken to Graham Bell (director), and Tony (Grant, chairman) and I am getting some great texts after games saying ‘fantastic’ and ‘well done.’”
