Poole Town have been relegated from National South despite producing a 2-0 home victory over Oxford City.

Goals from James Constable and Steve Devlin meant Dolphins put themselves in contention to escape the drop on the final day of the season. But with Tom Killick’s side needing to record a better result than fellow relegation candidates Hungerford Town, there was nothing they could do as the Crusaders won 1-0 at East Thurrock to send down Dolphins.

Nicholas Bignall’s 37th minute goal meant Hungerford kept their National South status and Poole returned to the Southern League.
