Steve Wiseman has been named as East Thurrock United’s new chairman.
The club have also confirmed Steve Robinson as their new vice-chairman and secretary.
Former defender Wiseman was part of Roger Bond’s side which won promotion to the Isthmian League in 1991/92. Robinson, meanwhile, was previously the long-serving chairman, secretary and owner of Southend Manor FC, and had a stint as secretary of Billericay Town.
The Rocks are bidding farewell to long-serving manager John Coventry, who sadly saw his tenure end early with the season suspension and the later decision to null and void.
Additionally, Jean Walker becomes club treasurer, while former goalkeeper and manager Glen Case will be looking after the maintenance of the pitches at the Grayers Graphics Stadium. Case is the club’s all-time leading appearance maker, having played 642 games.
The club have expressed their sincere thanks to retiring chairman Brian ‘Bruicie’ Mansbridge, secretary Linda Pegrum, and treasurer Christine Coventry. along with Mick and Margaret Stevens.
