Slough Town have signed Woking forward Paul Hodges.
The 26-year-old had been with the Cards since leaving Hartley Wintney in July 2018. Hodges helped Alan Dowson’s side to promotion back to the National League last season.
Slough’s joint-manager Jon Underwood told the club’s website: “He is an exciting player who can play in a number of attacking roles, and with this pace and trickery, we believe he will become very popular with the Rebels fans and will give us a different option in the final third of the pitch. Paul spent pre-season with us two-and-a-half years ago and really impressed us, but with the form of Warren Harris and James Dobson at the time, and the system we were playing, we could not guarantee him regular football, and so he signed for Hartley Wintney, where he had a fantastic season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.”
Underwood goes on to add: “There has been a lot of interest in him but we are delighted to say we were his preferred destination, and he joins up with the squad this week in preparation for our trip to Chelmsford City at the weekend.”
