Woking have said they are in conversation with AFC Bournemouth following Harry Arter’s move to Nottingham Forest.
Republic of Ireland international Arter joined Bournemouth from Woking for £4,000 a decade ago.
With the 30-year-old now signing for Forest for an undisclosed fee, the National League side have addressed talk of money due to them:
“Following recent speculation, the board would wish to reassure fans that it is fully aware of the transfer of Harry Arter from AFC Bournemouth to Nottingham Forest. We can confirm that we are in dialogue with AFC Bournemouth, and that historically, Woking Football Club has always received any monies properly due under the original transfer agreement between ourselves and AFC Bournemouth.
“In due course, we would expect the same to be true in respect of this recent transaction.”
