Woking have said they are unaware of the reasons behind the postponement of their home game with Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
After Friday’s announcement from the National League that the division’s games would continue despite the shutdown of the top four divisions due to the Coronavirus outbreak, six of the scheduled fixtures went ahead over the weekend, with six postponed. Woking were due to play Dagenham & Redbridge at home, but the club explain:
“Following the sudden and unexpected postponement of yesterday’s Vanarama National League home match against Dagenham & Redbridge, Woking Football Club can confirm that it is not currently aware of the circumstances which led to the postponement of this match. Woking Football Club were informed at approximately 10.45am yesterday morning that Dagenham & Redbridge would not be sending a team to the Laithwaite Community Stadium, and following urgent advice from the National League, the club issued a statement confirming the postponement.”
