Woking midfielder Jason Banton is expected to return by mid-October after injury, Cards boss Anthony Limbrick has confirmed.
The former Crystal Palace and Plymouth Argyle man picked up the problem last week and was forced out of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hartlepool United.
Limbrick doesn’t think the injury is too severe but he will certainly be without Banton’s services for the next couple of games.
“He did it in training on Tuesday. We actually took him out of the game last Saturday and he ended up getting injured in the week,” said the boss.
“It is unfortunate for him but we don’t think he will be out for too long, maybe a week to two weeks, something along those lines.
“It’s just a slight niggle in his hamstring. Sometimes it can happen to players who haven’t been back much and pick up another injury, so it’s nothing major and hopefully he will be back soon.”
