Godfrey Poku admitted Woking’s players “haven’t got a leg to stand on” when arguing their case for a place in the team following last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Eastleigh in the National League.
The combative midfielder says he is as much to blame as anybody else for the two defeats since the 1-0 win against Yeovil Town on January 25, at Ebbsfleet United and Eastleigh, and fully expects boss Alan Dowson to carry through his promise to make changes ahead of the clash at Notts County on February 15.
“No one is in a position to say, ‘oh if he has dropped us why has he dropped us?’,” said Poku.
“It’s because we’ve not performed. We haven’t got a leg to stand on.”
