Woking have signed Toby Edser on a one-month loan deal from Nottingham Forest.

Edser, 19, is a central midfielder who joined Forest from Charlton Athletic in July 2015. He is highly-rated at Forest, and is the captain of the under 23 side. Edser opened the scoring against Exeter City Under-23s earlier this month, in a 3-1 victory in the Premier League Cup.

He said: “I got told I had the opportunity to come down to Woking, and I thought I couldn’t really turn it down. Being a local boy I’ve been down here a couple of times with my mates when I was younger.”

Manager Alan Dowson commented: “We’ve been crying out for somebody to put their foot on the ball and pass it. He’s been playing Under-23 football for too long to be honest, some senior games will do him good.

“Just like the other lads I know he’ll adapt, I’m looking forward to seeing him play on Saturday.”
