Inih Effiong has admitted he has spoken to Woking boss Anthony Limbrick over a lack of game time this season.

The big striker found himself back on the substitutes’ bench against Guiseley after starting – and impressing – against Dover Athletic the week before.

Effiong has looked a threat when he’s been on the pitch and certainly gives opposition defenders a tough time.

However, he is yet to get a run of games to find his true form, and Effiong is fighting hard to change Limbrick’s mind.

“It is frustrating, and I had a chat with the gaffer, he wanted to go with something different (on Saturday),” he said, speaking to Get Surrey.

“Regardless of my performance at Dover, it is frustrating because you do want to get a run of games to start getting that form back. I want to get back to scoring.

“I think this is the longest spell I haven’t scored a goal in a couple of years, even in the lower leagues.”
