Boss Alan Dowson wants the club, the town and the community to get behind his bid to take Woking to the Football League for the first time in their history.
The forthright Geordie believes the only way to do that is for the club to return to full-time status and he is keen to discuss ways to make it possible during his tenure.
Passionate Dowson – desperate to keep improving as he has with previous clubs – insisted his thoughts are not a knee-jerk reaction to his team not having won for nine games and said he has been “thinking about it all summer”.
He told SurreyLive: “I want to be the bloke who takes the club to the Football League. We’ve got no chance part-time. The question is, can we find a solution from the directors and from the community and put ourselves in a position to have a go?”
