Anthony Limbrick doesn’t want full-back Nathan Ralph to leave Woking despite rumoured interest from a host of clubs including Charlton Athletic, Oxford United, Bury, Doncaster Rovers, Dundee and Heart of the Midlothian.
The 24-year-old, who started his career at the Ipswich Town academy, is currently out injured but has made 25 appearances for National League side Woking so far this season. It was reported earlier this month that Woking had turned down a five-figure bid from Bury from Ralph but it is unknown whether any other clubs have made offers for the winger.
But the interest in Ralph doesn’t surprise his manager Limbrick, who believes the Essex-born player could have a bright future ahead of him. However, the Cards boss stressed that we was keen not to lose his best players.
“I’m not surprised there have been a lot of rumours about Nathan,” Limbrick said. “He has done very well this season, has good attributes and could possibly play higher eventually.
“We want to make sure we keep Nathan as long as we can and we would love to have him until the end of the season. He’s out injured at the moment so we are hoping he comes back soon, that’s the most important thing – to get him back soon – before we start thinking about anything else.”
