Tranmere Rovers have signed forward Aaron Collins on loan from Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Aaron Collins until the end of the season.
Part of the £30,000 raised by supporters through the Micky Mellon `Budget Boost` has been used to be able to bring the player to Prenton Park.
The 19-year old came through the Academy system at Newport County and after making his senior debut aged just 17, went on to make twenty-five appearances for his home-town club in League Two.
Impressive form at Newport led to interest from clubs higher up the Pyramid and in January 2016, he moved to Molineux to join Wolves for an undisclosed fee.
He has featured heavily for their under-23 side, including appearances in the EFL Trophy, but spent the first half of this season on loan at League Two outfit Notts County, where he scored on his debut against Grimsby Town.
Mellon said of the signing: “We’re really pleased to get another player in. We’ve worked really hard at a difficult time to recruit and we’re pleased Wolves have trusted us with one of their talented young players.
“I’m looking forward to Aaron coming to Tranmere and showing what he can do at this important stage of the season”.
