Darlington say they are sorry to announce that John Woolnough has resigned as Finance Director in order to allow him more time to concentrate on his business and family demands.
Woolnough was appointed earlier in the year and has helped stabilise the accounting processes and cash flow monitoring, as well as helping to develop the squad through his knowledge of Caribbean footballers. He has committed to continue to point out players with potential for assessment by manager Alun Armstrong and and assistant Darren Holloway.
Chief Executive Officer, David Johnston, said: “We’re sorry to lose John’s skills and experience, but we understand the time commitments placed on volunteers. Thanks to John for his contribution during his short time on the board, and we wish him well.”
The search for a replacement FD has now commenced, say Darlo.
