Worcester City manager Carl Heeley has captured the signature of defender James Chambers.

Chambers, formerly of West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City, Watford and most recently Walsall, has joined City to bolster the defensive ranks.

Chambers made his West Brom debut against Port Vale in January 2000 and along with brother Adam, became the first twins to play in the same team representing England at any level (under 20s), as well as the first twins to play for the same side in the Premier League.

Chambers, now aged 35 and with almost 400 League and Premier League appearances to his name, goes straight in to the squad ahead of today’s game against Gainsborough Trinty.
