Worcester City have announced the recent resignation from the board of Mark Wilcox.
In a statement posted on the club’s website, Wilcox is described as ‘a long standing and respected Director who through tireless hard work has built a strong ,successful and vibrant Youth Sector that has helped develop many young players as they progress through the ranks to represent WCFC.’
The statement goes on to say the following:
Mark will remain in his role with the Youth Sector but will no longer remain as a Club Director due to work and family commitments.
We would like to record our thanks for all he has put in and are pleased that our relationship will still enable him to aid us as we move forward with the Youth Sector.
The Club also confirms that ongoing Sponsorship has been secured for the following season with M Pinches Transport as Main Sponsor with Blackpole Recycling as back of the shirt.
WCFC are deeply grateful for this ongoing support which is a vital lifeline in keeping the Club going until as such time as we can return back to playing in Worcester.
The recent set back at Parsonage Way provides yet more expensive frustration for the Club with as yet still no alternative in sight. The search will continue
