Dave Hewson says he is well on the road to recovery and can’t wait to get back in the Workington Reds hot seat next season.
The Reds joint manager has thanked everyone for their support during his recent illness which curtailed the season for him. And he paid special tribute to fellow manager Lee Andrews and Billy Redden who stepped up from taking charge of the reserves to help out.
“I just want to thank everyone for their messages of support, especially everyone involved with the club,” said Hewson, who was at Borough Park for last Saturday’s final match of the season.
“It’s been a long time since I was involved and it’s been unfortunate but I’m well on the right road to recovery and looking forward to getting stuck back into the football.”
