Worthing FC have been forced to reverse their first two home matches and may yet need to play a number of home matches at Bognor Regis Town, after their 3G pitch failed three FIFA quality test inspections.

Next Tuesday’s scheduled match with Leatherhead has been moved to Wednesday at Fetcham Grove, whilst Thurrock will host the Mackerelmen on Friday 25th August.

The club have confirmed that a number of games may have to take place at Bognor Regis Town.

In a statement confirming the reverse of their opening two home fixtures they said “This would hopefully allow time to find a temporary solution so the pitch could pass it’s FIFA certificate for the upcoming season before being relaid next summer.

If that is not possible, the club will play its home games at Bognor Regis Town until the surface is ready and has passed the FIFA certification.
