Worthing have signed strikers Ollie Pearce and Callum Kealy.
Boss Adam Hinshelwood said of the duo: “Callum and Ollie fit the bill perfectly of what I want in the squad. They’re local, very talented, young, hungry to improve and I’m really excited to get working with them.
“Besides their obvious class on the pitch and in front of goal, they both work extremely hard and will be great additions to the talented group we already have.”
Pearce has been a mainstay at Bognor since making his debut at 17, racking up an impressive 273 appearances for the first team and weighing in with 83 goals. After seven years as a Rock, he said: “I’m very fortunate and grateful to have started my career at Bognor and I’d like to thank the club for all the development and support I have received over the years.
“I feel it’s now time for me to move on, and I am so looking forward to joining an exciting, and ambitious squad and manager who are looking to progress not only me but the whole club through the National League in the near future. I’m buzzing and cannot wait to get started.”
Having been released by Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2016, Lancing-based Kealy went on to have an impressive spell with Lewes and then Met Police last season where his form saw interest from Aston Villa, Fulham and Brighton through the autumn of 2017, before his season was disrupted by a wrist injury.
Excited by developments on his doorstep, he said: “I am really excited by the prospects for Worthing FC and cannot wait to get the season started, I want to be part of the push for promotion.”
