The latest addition to Dean Keates’ promotion-chasing Wrexham squad is Nicky Deverdics, who played against the Dragons recently for Hartlepool United.
He has signed an 18-month long contract, taking him through to the end to the summer of 2019. A Geordie by birth, the 30-year-old midfielder has had a globe-trotting career in the game, that saw him start out as a trainee at St James’ Park,.
Hartlepool United recruited him in the summer of 2016 and 65 appearances later (plus a short spell on loan at Dover in February 2017) and he has now moved on again to North Wales.
