Wrexham could be set for a New Year cash windfall, but only if former Dragons striker Louis Moult leaves Motherwell in the January transfer window.
According to reports in Scotland former Dragons striker Moult is being linked with a move to Championship outfit Preston North End, a move which could see the Racecourse outfit land a financial bonus.
Moult, who scored 23 times in 47 appearances in one campaign for the Dragons which included 16 in the National League, is one of the hottest properties in the Scottish Premiership after a blistering two-and-a-half seasons with Motherwell.
The 25-year-old has opted not to extend his current Well deal when it runs out in the summer and is allowed to talk to teams as a free agent when the January transfer window opens.
