Former Wrexham star Andy Morrell says he may apply for the manager’s role at the club, following Sam Ricketts’ departure to Shrewsbury Town.
The 44-year-old was player-manager at the club between September 2011 and February 2014 and he told the BBC:
“I’ll have a think about it and see if it’s worthwhile, I don’t know if they would consider it,” Morrell said.
“I might throw my hat in the ring if the wife and me believe that it’s not a bad move for me in my career.
“I had a fantastic time at Wrexham when I was manager and I think I’m a better manager now than I was when I took over there.”
Former Coventry City striker Morrell was also Tamworth manager until February of this year.
