Sam Ricketts believes he has brought in loan signings who are fully committed to being successful with Wrexham, say The Leader.

Ricketts has recruited seven players – Rob Lainton, Brad Walker, Jordan Maguire-Drew, Stuart Beavon, Rekeil Pyke, Freddie Hinds and Scott Burgess – on temporary deals since taking over as Reds boss.

Goalkeeper Lainton has kept nine clean sheets in 14 outings this season while Beavon netted his third goal as Wrexham beat Barnet 1-0 on Saturday to remain among the National League pacesetters.

Ricketts says there is no doubt that his loanees are just as hungry to achieve things at The Racecourse as players who have penned permanent contracts.

“I think we have got a group of really good characters, loans and permanent signings,” said Ricketts. “You want players who want to achieve something.

“Stuart scored again at the weekend and you can see how hard he works for the team. He has not come here to go through the motions, you see him tracking back, tackling and wearing his heart on his sleeve.

“We have got good lads.”
