An investigation has been launched into alleged “discriminatory behaviour” by Wrexham AFC fans at a game on the weekend, North Wales Live report.

The club are looking into the alleged incidents which they say involved a “small minority” of spectators at Saturday’s game against Dover Athletic at the Racecourse.

A statement from them said the incidents were reported to the police and match officials, with witnesses including players and staff from both teams.

The statement added: “We would like to publicly offer our apologies to the players involved and all the officials, staff and supporters of Dover Athletic Football Club.

“North Wales Police are also carrying out their own investigation into reports about unacceptable behaviour of certain individuals, not only on Saturday but at other games this season, home and away.”
