It has yet to be confirmed by either club but it has been strongly reported that Wrexham boss Dean Keates is to take up the managerial post at Walsall.

Wrexham AFC

The 39-year-old began his career with the Saddlers, his hometown club, and returned for a second spell later in his career, captaining the side and winning Player of the Year as they won promotion back to League One. The former midfield man also had five years playing for Wrexham, so his departure would be a considerable wrench.

The Dragons have topped the Vanarama National League table under his stewardship this season, and if Keates does depart, he will leave them in 4th place, right in the promotion mix.
