Wrexham have announced the signing of winger Jordan Maguire-Drew on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 20-year-old put pen to paper on the deal after completing a medical. Maguire-Drew joins from Brighton after a successful loan at Dagenham & Redbridge during the 2016-17 season where he scored 14 times.
Since he has had spells at Lincoln City and Coventry City before joining up with Wrexham AFC for the 2018-19 season.
Maguire-Drew told wrexhamafc.co.uk: “It’s brilliant to get my move to Wrexham done now and I’m really looking forward to getting started. I can’t wait to get training with the boys and I’m really looking forward to Saturday’s game at Dover.”
He added: “I played for Dagenham in this league two years ago, I know what it takes and I know what it’s all about, I’m looking to carry on from where I left off.
“I like to create things on the pitch and get the crowd on their feet. I finished in the play-offs with Dagenham and I’m looking to go one better now here at Wrexham.”
Manager Sam Ricketts said: “I identified Jordan as a target early on and we’ve all worked hard to get this deal over the line, so I’m delighted he’s here.
He added: “He adds some more pace from wide areas and he knows where the goal is. We are looking for more of an attacking threat and I believe Jordan will contribute to that.”
