Wrexham have signed midfielder Luke Summerfield on a one-year contract.
The 30-year-old put pen to paper in North Wales, becoming manager Sam Ricketts third signing of the summer.
Summerfield’s career has been predominately played in the Football League, most recently at League Two side Grimsby Town where he made 62 appearances over two seasons.
He has also turned out in the EFL for the likes of Plymouth Argyle, AFC Bournmouth, Leyton Orient, Cheltenham Town, Shrewsbury Town and York City.
Summerfield also spent 18 games on-loan in the Vanarama National League during 2017 with eventual champions Macclesfield Town.
Manager Sam Ricketts was delighted with the addition saying: “I am really pleased to bring Luke to Wrexham AFC.
“He is a very good player who has plied his trade at a very good level over the course his career. He’s a fit lad who keeps himself in good shape, so it won’t be a problem him slotting straight in to pre-season.
“He lives locally which is another bonus and I’m really looking forward to working with him this season.”
