Wrexham have signed striker Cole Stockton on loan from League Two side Tranmere Rovers until the end of the 2018/19 season.

A Merseyside native, the 24-year-old striker came through the youth system at Tranmere spending time on loan at Southport in the National League and Vauxhall Motors in the National League North before breaking in to the first team.

Wrexham have submitted the necessary paperwork and applied for international clearance with a view to him being available for Tuesday’s game at Bromley.

Manager Graham Barrow commented: “Cole is a different type of striker to Jason Oswell who signed on Saturday so that gives us more options in that department now.

“Cole did very well in this division for Tranmere in his last spell there and he knows exactly what is required to challenge at the top end of the table. I’m delighted he’s here. Hopefully he’ll be available to play on Tuesday.”
