Captain Shaun Pearson insists the Wrexham dressing room remains fully behind manager Bryan Hughes, after the board’s public backing this week.
Pearson revealed he met with Hughes this week as the Dragons look to end a six-match winless run in the Vanarama National League.
And the Wrexham captain called on his team-mates to fight their way back to form, and to stand up and be counted in the face of poor results.
“I’m sure the manager won’t mind me saying, him and I had a meeting yesterday and we had a long conversation about a lot of things,” Pearson revealed.
“I gave my opinion on things but what I will say is personally, and having spoken to other senior players too, we are 100 per cent behind the manager.
“That doesn’t mean we agree on everything. That’s natural in football – everyone has opinions and he asked me for my opinions yesterday and I gave them.
“Hopefully, moving forwards, we’ll start getting the results we want. We are 100 per cent behind him and hopefully that will show with our performance and, hopefully, result on Saturday.”
