Jason Oswell scored his first goal of the season but the striker believes Wrexham wasted a good opportunity to register a much needed win against Maidenhead.

After falling behind, Oswell headed the Reds back on level terms just before the break after meeting Luke Young’s free-kick.

Young put Wrexham ahead in the second half and although the lead only last three minutes, Bryan Hughes’ side created a number of clear cut chances but failed to take them as it finished 2-2.

“I was delighted with my goal, especially to get us back into the game,” said Oswell.

“We needed something to kind of spark us off.

“I decided to make the run front post and managed to get good enough contact on it, and sneak it in, so very happy.”
