Scott Quigley is a wanted man but the striker is set to begin pre-season training with Blackpool next week.
Quigley found chances limited at Bloomfield Road last season after joining from Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints and he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Wrexham, scoring eight goals in 17 league matches.
Although he has one year left on his contract, Quigley, who only made nine substitute appearances in League One, and five starts in the Football League Trophy before arriving at Wrexham in January, does not want to be a bit-part player next season and has spoken with Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer.
New Reds’ boss Sam Ricketts admits he would be interested in signing Quigley if he was available and the frontman revealed there has been a lot of interest, but he remains a Blackpool player for now.
“If I am being honest there have been a few offers for me,” said Quigley. “About six clubs from League One and League Two, and that is not counting the National League.
“Blackpool are staying firm, I don’t think they are budging. I will be going back for pre-season and we will go from there.”
