Dean Keates says he ‘waiting’ for news after confirming Wrexham had made an approach for another striker.

Keates options in attack will be trimmed following the clash at Aldershot on Saturday, November 25 as Alex Reid returns to his parent club Fleetwood Town at the culmination of his 93-day loan spell.

Keates has made no secret of his desire to have at least four strikers in his squad, and is looking to enhance his options alongside Scott Boden, Chris Holroyd and on loan striker Ntumba Massanka following Reid’s departure.

And Keates confirmed he had made an offer to bring another striker to Wrexham on loan with a view to a permanent move in January.

“We are waiting to see if what we have put on the table will be accepted,” said Keates.

“The lad has not been playing so we have made an offer to see if we can take him on loan and then with a view to doing it as a permanent deal in January.”
