James Jennings admits he was sick of losing games and hopes Wrexham are heading in the right direction again after picking up a first win of 2019, The Leader report.

Wrexham ended a run of five successive defeats without scoring by beating Maidenhead United 1-0 on Saturday to give the promotion challenge a much needed boost.

The fifth placed Reds are only four points behind Leyton Orient and left-back Jennings hopes it is the start of better things to come over the final three months of the season.

“It comes to a point where you get fed up of losing games,” said Jennings.

“But it is down to us as players to go out there and do it.

“We had to kind of get rid of that fear factor and make sure that we made it happen.

“That win will give the players more confidence and we want to go on a run now.”
