Nuneaton Town boss Tommy Wright has said he is ’embarrassed and ashamed’ after watching the Boro lose 6-3 away at Blyth last weekend.

The loss, the second in successive weekends on the road for Nuneaton, saw the Boro concede all six goals in just 45 minutes of football either side of half time.

It left the Boro precariously placed just one point outside of the relegation zone in the Vanarama National League North – and for Wright it was just not good enough.

He said: “I am ashamed and I am embarrassed and I hope the players are too.

“They represent this football club, as do I, and I hope it means as much to them as it does to me as let’s be honest, what we saw on Saturday was just not good enough.”
